Probability Games

Now that we are more familiar with the terms CERTAIN, IMPOSSIBLE, LIKELY, and UNLIKELY, today I have a fun activity for you.  For this activity, you need a pencil and a paperclip as the spinner (just like how we do it at school).  First, you have to predict which colour will win.  HINT:  Take a look at the spinner very carefully.  Next, you can spin it 10 times...graph it each time.  After, you are going to tell me if your prediction was right.

When you are finished with this activity, here are 2 games that you can play to practice probability.

Probability Machine:  There are different colour balls in the machine...after looking at the balls, put whether each colour is impossible, unlikely, even chance, likely, or certain.

Probability Wheel: Spin the wheel to see fishes..then answer the probability question!
